According to a new survey of 3,500 doctors conducted by the health care website “Medscape,” physicians specializing in Internal Medicine are sued most frequently.  They are followed by Family Medicine doctors, Obstetrician/Gynecologists, Psychiatrists, Cardiologists, Gastroenterologists, Pediatricians and Emergency Medicine doctors.  Of the 3,500 doctors surveyed, 1,400 reported having been sued for medical malpractice at some point in their careers.
